Congrats on your pregnancy!!

4 is a beeeeg number, but you know what - we learn to deal with the hand life deals us (no matter what it is)

I have a friend with 4 daughters (all planned!!) :woohoo:
Ages: 9, 6, 3 and 1!!

She and her husband copes wonderfully. THe children are well balanced!! And according to her, the secret is to make sure you have individual time with each one of them as often as possible. Oh, and she is studying law at the moment as well - her LLB :woohoo:

So, good luck and enjoy the pregnancy!!

Like Esmari said - Congratulations on your pregnancy! I don't have 4 children but am expecting baby no 2.

I can only imagine the shock you & your husband are going through. I can understand your fears you have because of age gaps, you just recently had a baby & having 4 children are demanding. Then there will always be the financial worries. I'm sure the list can just go on & on & on BUT every pregnancy is a miracle.

Try not to think of the negative impact - I know it's easier said than to actually not worry but just but all your trust in God & really just leave it with HIM cause he will help you & your husband through it!

My mother had 5 children :woohoo:

1st husband - Had twin girls then tried after 6 years to fall pregnant. It took them 3 years to conceive me. My dad past away 3 weeks before I was born.

2nd husband - Got married 3 years after my dad passed away. Got pregnant with another girl & then 3 years later with my brother.

Though there weren't really very very small age gaps between us, she still had 5 children to raise & same worries that you have about the older ones getting less attention.

But you know what, if you have a good family support system, you guys will be fine. Your children will be fine. There is a 9 year age gap between me & my twin sisters, 4 years between me & my younger sister & 7 years between me & my brother but we all get along really well.

Try to atleast spend alone time with the oldest daughter once a month IF possible. Have some nice chats @ meal time or take her to a movie, sit & read a story together........anything you can think of. If it's too difficult for both you & your husband to do something with her, then do it on your own.

All of the best.

Juandre, first: Congratulations on your pregnancy! Every pregnancy is a miracle. Even if not planned.

I don't have 4 kids, but my eldest was only 5 months old when I fell pregnant with his sister. He was 13 months old when she was born. Still a baby himself. Its hard in the beginning, but you learn to cope. The older one usually grow up a bit quicker, but they do grow up together.

Good luck for you in this journey

So I have been on this site since 2010 when I switched over from the Pampers site. AT the time I was pregnant with my second child.
I have a 10 year old daughter- Shiloe, a 2year 4 month old daughter- McKeilagh and our baby girl who is 7 1/2 months old- Keira.

I have been on Nordette for 3 months since I stopped breastfeeding. I have never had any problems with the pill and was happy on it. I was going to have a mierena fitted at my annual appointment in April next year. But last week thursday I did a pregnancy test and I am pregnant. It has come as a huge shock to DH and myself. Yesterday morning I just sat and cried. We had not planned to have any more children.

I am so scared- I am scared of the small age gap we are going to have-15 months, I am worried about how we will cope with 4 children. I am worried that our older daughter, who already loses out on attention because the little ones are so demanding will suffer.

Is there anyone out there that has 4, that can give me some advice.
