I m on my fourth pregnancy and I am RH-. None of my babies have come early because of it and my gynae has never been concerned. When baby is born they will give you a "anti D" injection which will make sure that your next pregnancy is risk free.

Congrats, try relax and enjoy. There is never another pregnancy like your first where you can just concentrate on the baby growing inside you.

While it is perfectly normal to stress a bit about baby (especially during your first pregnancy), the statistics are on your side. While we are often very aware of all the possible pregnancy complications, they are actually very rare.

The two that you are talking can also be put into the "mild inconvenience" category instead of the "complications" category! So relax away and have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Thanks Kerry, it feels better knowing it's not such a HUGE deal like i thought. my gynae said that fibroids won't actually affect the baby much, they may just be painful as the pregnancy progresses. I hope not...

Don't know about the fibroids, but trust me on the RH- thing, its nothing to stress about. I am in the same boat and my first born believe it or not was RH- too even with DH being RH+. Its also usually only something the gyneas worry about from the second pregnancy, but if there is bleeding they will give you a shot which will hide the baby's blood type.

Hello thre, I hope you're all feeling great. I on the other hand have real anxiety about the baby's health and wellbeing. This is my first pregnancy at 28 and i really don't know how to relax and enjoy it.

I went for my 16 week scan on Thursday and I was so happy to see the little person growing inside of me, and we found out it's a boy!!!

The doctor told me I have fibroids and i have a Rh negative blood group (My husband is RH positive), which puts me at a slight risk of pre term labor. I can't comprehend the thought of losing a baby i've come to love so much. Trying to stay positive!!
