I think like the website says, every situation is different and some women might be fine with just taking a natural herbal supplement, however if the depression is more serious a more aggresive form of treatment might be better.

I can understand that you would like to connect with someone who were in your situation because taking anti-depressants needs a serious commitment because you can't just take it for a few days and then decide on something else, one needs to take it for a while to start experiencing benefits. And obviously sometimes medication has very unpleasant side-effects which won't be ideal at this moment.

I am not pregnant at the moment (but planning baby no.2), however strangely I felt the least depressed while pregnant with my first child (except for the first trimester! ). I struggled with mild PND and a few months of Eglynol was enough for me.

Whatever you decide, please look after yourself! xx

Hi there Gloeiwurmpie

Thank you for that post, I really appreciate it. Had a look at that sight and it really helped me shoo. I realise that it will probably be more important to take an anti-depressant than to carry on the way that I am. I just wish I knew of someone else that took this medication and felt the way that I do...

Are you pregnant at the moment?

Hi Calla,
Welcome to moomie!

I am sorry to hear that you are going through a rough time. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for many years. I don't have experience with the tissue salts unfortunately.

This article explains the importance of treating depression during pregnancy.

If you are not coping I would highly recomend you discuss this with your Gynea or a psychiatrist. Chances are that by the time the baby is born that you will struggle even more.

I know there has been other moms on the forum who has taken anti-depressants while pregnant, hopefully somebody else can comment. xx
