I would strongly recommend Momenetum.

Discovery is good but a very expensive medical aid and everything basically comes out of savings.

With Momentum you get addidtional benefits for things like dental screenings, eye screenings, maternity etc.

Also you can choose your in-hospital provider (network or any) as well as your chronic provider (state or any). The network hospitals in my area are the hospitals I would choose anyway - not like the Discovery network options. And if you choose state for Chronic your chorinic meds are couriered to you every month AND they are cheaper - bonus both ways.

Hi i'm with Resolution Health, Progressive Flex Plan

Wait forever for them to pay back my claims and still waiting for my new cards with our new addition Austin who is already 7 months.

Hubby was suppose to go for the snip Last Thursday, when i phoned for a authorisation number for it to be done at the day room, they said they only cover if its done in the doctors rooms.

Needless to say he didnt have it done.

Actually looking for another medical aid now.
Looking at Discovery

I am on Momentum

Was on Incentive when I had my little girl but have moved onto the Custom plan now – I believe they both offer the same maternity benefits.

Every single gynae appointment and scan was paid for out of a separate maternity benefit. The bloods came out of savings.

I am on the associated hospital plan and I didn’t pay anything towards the hospital, delivery etc. I had an elective caesar and they covered all the doctors in full.

They include two paediatrician visits in the first year – I have however been to the paed A LOT so used those up in the first 3 months LOL!

They also have a separate benefit for vaccinations.

I am very impressed with them.

Good luck with your decision.
