Will discovery cover me?

I am with discovery and had always had great service when I called them. Not always had the answers I liked, but at least they can give you an answer.

I know of a complaint from a lady that said Discovery did not want to pay the final hospital bill. Dsicovery replied that the lady did not reveal her pregnancy. So I would call them and ask them ASAP. You did not with held the detail, you were unaware. But they might have some restrictions, so phone them. 0860 998877.

all you do call discovery and find out? then they will tell you yes you get a cover full or no 50% or you pay yourself?

I had join my medical-aid July 2012 and i get cover of everything hospital and gynae but it limited like Medicala-aid only paid 3x visit Gynae and 1x scan and 1x blood test.
but there is too much complicated with Discovery because I dont talk on the phone. someone handle my medical-aid and fought with them because i received Refer form from GP for Gynaecology DR and Discovery refused to pay because i didn't send Refer form to Discovery Beside i did fax the form to discovery so they can give me Authorize number and they said i dont need to only when I am on due and get into hospital then hospital will get authorize number from Discovery but on my statement that Discovery wont pay gynae because there is not authroize number i was so disappoint so my parents called discovery and explained to them you have no idea how bad service they are?

were you in an medical aid before that? if you were then you will be covered, but if you were not in any medical aid for the past year i think their waiting period is 3 months unless you have a chronic then your chronic can only be registered after 1 year

Hi all, I just found out now that i am 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant... I joined Discovery Key Care Plus on the 1st June 2013.

The problem is I was already pregnant 3 weeks (without knowing anything about it) when I joined Discovery...

I am stressed out because I don't know if they will cover my pregnancy now... Is there anyone else that has been in the same position?
