file Anyone had Anterior Placenta before/ now?

Hi there Shurainian,

Having your placenta in the front of your uterus presents no problem for natural birth. Its only when the placenta is covering the cervix that it causes a problem, but this can also only be diagnosed after 36 weeks as the placenta tends to move up during pregnancy and usually moves away from the cervix some time before 36 weeks.

Hope this helps!

Hi All,

I am now at 18 weeks +. This is my first pregnancy.
I still have not felt any movement from baby.

During my recent ultrascan (last week), my gynae mentioned that my placenta in front is cushioning the kicks from the baby.

I googled and it says that means I have an anterior placenta. Is this the right term?

I would like to try for natural birth. Is there anything I should be aware / do , having the placenta in front?

Would appreciate advise! ;) ;)
