I agree with MummyAbbey, sounds like your Dr is trying to scare you into having another c-sect. I too am a VBAC hopeful, 33 weeks now I'm with Dr Salma Isaacs, she's based at Christiaan Barnard, (021) 422 2646.

Take Hopefule's advice and check the VBAC thread out, its been very encouraging to me!

That's nonsense. I had a vbac in a private hospital (louis leipoldt) and am on medical aid.

Vincent Palotti is known to do vbacs.

Maybe try contact a midwife in your area?

I am preggy for the first time so I don't know much but that does not sound right to me? It sounds like he wants to scare you into doing a C-section again ( sorry this might not be the case and it is not my intention to bad mouth your gyni ) I think the best place to look is the VBAC thread I am sure these ladies will be able to help you

I'm 34 weeks and opted for VBAC,MY problem is my gyne advised me to use public hospital since in private they don't do VBAC and i have medical aid.Can anyone who is around Table view or CAPE TOWN who knows any hospital/gyne who can help. :
