R u done having Babies? is your family Complete?

WE currently have a 3 year old LG and trying for baby number 2. I love big families, but agree with the attention factor - easier to have big families when one parent is at home and doesnt work though. But dh and I both work (even though we are both in positions that allow VERY flexible working hours).

DH has always wanted 3 kids. I would have to see after baby number 2 if I would be keen to try for number 3. We both definitely, at least, want another one - and my 3 year old definitely agrees with this.

I always thought that I will have 2 babies. then got married ad DH says hy wants at least 3 kids. we both only have 1 sibling.
we are now expecting our first little angel

I must say, I am very open to the idea of more that 2 kids, but that will depend on how we feel after baby nr 2 arrives.
i know of a few people who wanted alot of kids, but drastically changed their plans after nr 2

What a fun topic So nice to see every ones opinions on this. The important thing is that we each do what is right for ourselves, our partner and our children and I think that greatly differs in every family structure.

Ms I need to agree with your DH about the family gatherings. I come out of a very loud and rowdy family so when we get together its always an event where as with DH ( they are only two him and his sister ) its much more subdued. Like I said now that I am an adult I LOVE LOVE LOVE the big family and I wish there where even more of us heheh shame I don't think my parent would have coped if there were even more of us running around hahaha

I talk about this all the time with dh, and we have not yet made up our minds, but we will definitely have more than one! Currently have a 10 month old, and I'm itching to have another.

I have two younger sisters. My mother had me and my one sister close together, and the third sister was born (planned pregnancy) 7 years later. I won't mind doing something like that too. I think we all got equal attention, although I do think my middle sister will disagree!

My dh has 5 sisters, he is the only boy. He always complains that family suppers at my parents are so quiet, whereas his family suppers are always loud (all his sisters are married and have kids).

I have heard of a lot of couples say (with certainty, their minds are completely made up) that one is just enough, and I just can't get my head around that!

I would love to have 2 kids, but circumstances dictate eitherwise. For now, am happy with just 1 kid

We'll see what the future holds. BD wants lots of kids, i'm not too sure about having a full-house though... I love my space (and sanity)

I get you clearly, its really not always about Finances, there are lot of other factors to consider when having Children, like you said, the attention, amongst other factors. for parents making sure your children get the best of everything possible. Raising children is a very hard job, one that you as a parent can easily loose yourself into. its all about the children and you end up loosing your identity sometimes. But so worth it at the same time and so rewarding when your see your children are Happy.
