Hi GwenAnn,
Depending on what type of birth you would like, antenatal classes can be very important. If you want a natural birth I would really suggest that you take a independent antenatal course (not affiliated with a hospital) as these prepare you better for the natural birthing process.

Look at different courses like HypnoBirthing, Hypnobabies, the Bradley method, Mama Bamba etc and see which one will suit you best.
Mother Instinct offers classes in Jhb and there are lots of HypnoBirthing practitioners in your area as well.

Check out www.hypnobirthing.co.za for info.

Cool
Thanks
2 of my friends used Babywise and they both said they enjoyed the classes and found them helpful.
It's all a bit overwhelming and confusing :)

Hi, we went to Olivedale Clinic for ours, the lady there was very good.

But in hindsight, my husband and I both feel we were to over eager to do a prenatal class as we learnt everything from books and the internet anyway
