question-circle Multivits for someone who has miscarried before

Thanks ladies! I spoke to a friend who also recommended I ask my doc about Uterogestan (which I will do on my visit to him). Other than that, I am only taking the Folic Acid prescribed.

So far so, good. Six weeks and counting B)

Nakkie, I second StellaK's post. After my miscarriage I continued my prenatal vits (PregnaVit M) and an additional folic acid supplement.

The folic acid is the key vitamin at this stage.

With my second pregnancy (happened immediately after the miscarriage) my multivits were exacerbating nausea during first trimester so I stopped them, but continued the folic acid.

Hey Nakkie!!

Congratulations... come join the rest of us on the "due in september 2015" group... we would love to have you!

i am currently 9 weeks pregnant. I continued to take my preg omega plus from my firt preg which ended badly in 2013. so i have not stopped it.

I also top up with vit D.

currently i take the preg omega plus and the Vit D as well.

if you are worried to take them now, then StellaK is right. take the Folic for now and start the rest after 12 weeks. some say the vitamins make them nauseas too...

Goodluck!! Wishing you a healthy happy full term pregnancy!!!

hi Nakkie, congrats on your pregnancy :woohoo: :woohoo:
may you have a blessed and healthy full term pregnancy

please dont worry about supplements, as they would not cause MC.
but if you worried, the only thing that is really important for the first trimester is Folic acid.
just take Folic acid in the mornings, and then you can start to take preggie vits when your beyond 12 weeks.

Hi,

I've had a miscarriage before and the doc says there is no reason for it. I did a blood test now and I am pregnant - around 5 weeks. Yay! But now I am wondering if I didn't take the wrong supplements before, and if there is any supplement that might help me carry to term this time.

Thanks!
