Hi

I also agree with the other ladies, but would like to add, keep it to bland foods aswell. Thats what helped me and still does as I still get the odd Morning sickness day or two :)

and work out what makes you more nauseous for example for me it was coffee ( i love my coffe normally) and those tropica flavoured drinks. try and stay away from strong smells too, I couldnt shop in the first trim. I smelled every smell there was to smell, I got stuck in the washing powder aisle as that was the best smell ever! lol.

other than that theres ASIC which made me more sleepy than what I already was, so I didnt take too much of those. Just remember to keep yourself hydrated else you might end up in hospital for dehydration.

congrats on your pregnancy! Wish you a healthy happy 9 months!

Hi,

I suffered from terrible morning sickness with both my pregnancies, both lasted until about 18-20 weeks. I don't really have a remedy as such, because I never discovered anything that cured me.

My doctor prescribed Zofran for my first, and Zofer Rapitabs for my second. Both pills really help but are very expensive. It makes it far tolerable, but doesn't take the sickness away totally. Asic didn't so much for me.

Like another lady said, keep eating and snacking, the second I felt my tummy growl I knew I was about to be sick. Empty tummy makes it worse.

Cream soda helped for my 1st pregnancy, and this time I had small sips of Coke (even if you're not supposed to!).

Green apples helped both times. Lemon wedges helped. Funny enough, a piece of cheddar cheese also helps, put it in your mouth and suck on it like you would a chocolate.

Some days the sickness just wouldn't pass, then I simply had to make myself sick and get it over with. :sick:

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon. I've already decided that I won't have more kids, cannot go through all that a 3rd time!

@Babydreaming – as said already, you can use Vomifene or Asic. Vomifene hasn't been available for a LONG time, but you should be able to pick up some Asic tablets from the pharmacy. You can also use Emetrol/Emex syrup, but a lot of women say it doesn't help.

I was quite fortunate not to suffer from nausea too badly. When it hit, it hit hard and trip to "evacuate" helped. Although I tended to feel a bit queasy (and uneasy) afterward.

I had terrible MS with my second born, and would try the following, not necessarily in this order..

VOMIT... it does relieve that feeling of MS;

Asic/Vomifene... only works for short periods of time;

Magen drops from Natura...

Surprisingly any antacid too

But the other ladies are right, don't let yourself get hungry and that cracker first thing in the morning is a big help. However when all else failed I simply vomited and the relief was instantaneous!

All the best
