Hi TCS84

I have a Safeway Baby Travel System with a Snug and Safe Car Seat. Great Value for money not as expensive as the other brands and in my opinion a great pram/stroller. The Snug and Safe is also a great car seat. I am so impressed with the brad that I am going to buy the bigger car seat of range just as soon LO needs it.

You can check out their website and see if this is maybe an option.

O and it folds flat and it fits in the boot of a Citi Golf without a problem.

Hi IreneL

Yes! The Chelino Twister was my first choice as well when I started looking... But unfortunately I drive a small car and the Twister's base is too bulky. Baby will be driving in my car mostly, so I have to find something that allows for easy folding and storing. Unless I was misinformed? But I was told it won't fit into the boot of my Fiesta?

Can you maybe post a photo of how big the pram is folded up?

I would DEF recommend the Chelino Twister, please look into it! Such good value for money - includes a car seat and carry cot that fit on the pram base. Very happy with mine.

Hi TCS84

With my first (now 6) we used my SIL's Peg Perego. It was very nice, but the only thing I don't like about the Peg range - for the price you're paying, it tends to look very "old and used" very quickly!

We sold everything after my first born was 2YO, and we're not planning on having more children, so personally - I find it a waste to pay more than R5k for a travel system that's only going to last me about 3 years.

I'm however considering the following travel systems:

1. Baby Buggz Triplicity (3in1 travel system) Ranging around R4 800 - R5k
Has a very compact fold and easy movability - go search for it on YouTube where they show you an in detail video of the pram.
2. Chelino Larenza Switch (3in1 travel system) Ranging around R4k. Unfortunately this only comes in one colour design - Burberry check with brown leather finishes. This however has the most compact fold - umbrella

I don't really have a 3rd option... Unless I can find a very well looked after 2nd hand Peg Perego pliko 3, Quinny or Loola.

Once we know the gender, we will start going to the various shops and look at what's available and how "mommy friendly" they are :)

Thanks Ladies! I will do as you all have advised.
This is so difficult...

I think I also need to decide about a flat folding pram or the umbrella type fold.

Please let me know if you have any further thoughts....

thanks!!

Hi TCS84,

I bought the bebe confort at one of the baby expo, and never tried a peg because the queue at their counter was too long. Although I think the bebe confort is beautiful, I believe that had I tried it at the expo I wouldn't have bought it. Getting the car seat off the stroller can be tricky, the first two weeks of driving around with my new born, it was hard to get him off the stroller into the car.

As suggest by Karmie, try it in store, how to fold and how heavy the whole system can be.

Congratulations on your baby

Congrats on your pregnancy.
I currently have the Chicco Liteway stroller. I didnt want something bulky and hard to control as had those issues with my first pram. It has a stage 1 car seat that is comaptible to it (they stock it at baby city for about R2400 for the stroller and R2600 for the seat). It lies flat, light, easy to fold and carry around and small too.
