HI @BeeHen, yep, 20w4d...really cant even imagine how fast time has gone by, I mean we are all past the halfway mark already! And since we have x-mas and all the holidays in between now and delivery the rest of this time will most likely go by as fast if not faster. Birds and butterflies sounds very cute, sure you can find some nice things to make her room pretty. Here is a site I came upon if you ladies want to look, they make custom baby linen, not cheap, but it seems like this is kind of the pricing (from looking at other places as well) www.babylovelinen.co.za/ they are in KZN but come highly recommended as doing fine work and not being horrible to deal with.

This is probably strange, but I am looking forward to not working for those 4 months, I have been so busy to the point of being overwhelmed at work lately. I was bored at work for so long and now I am so busy. I am not complaining, but I really will love the break since I dont think we will take time off in Dec just to make sure I can take a month's worth of leave and then only 3 months mat. leave since I dont get a full salary.

Anyway, my little man is quite active this morning, I too feel like a beached whale and I cant believe how big I am already! I went to a wedding when I was 24 weeks with my first son and I was most definitely not this size then! I do also need to make more of an attempt to actually be active, especially if I am going to attempt a natural delivery again.

I've watched the Carte blanche episode Yesterday, really heartbreaking. My tears were running. Really very sad.

@Nix, I am no medical expert but that really does sound like such great news, sounds like things are moving in the right direction. I think your doc will just keep a close eye on you just in case, but by the sounds of it your little man is already exceeding boundaries! Another good news story for good news week!!

Congrats Lida on your little blue bundle on the way! Now you really can get things going knowing for sure what you are having. Our little boy was also not shy to show off his boy bits and there was no mistaking those boy bits for something else!

Have you ladies thought of theme's for your nurseries yet (if you are doing a theme that is)? For my son's nursery I wanted to do a 'forest' theme which kind of tuned into a Winnie the Pooh theme mostly b/c when I described to people the forest I had in mind I said the 'thousand acre forest from Winnie the Pooh' so people thought the theme was that. Anyway, as part of the forest theme I had some friends paint a tree in the corner of the room, its a great big Oak tree and I absolutely love it, really not ready to get rid of the tree so I decided to build a new theme around that. It is now going to be owls in and around the tree. I have found the cutest owl wallpaper border to put up, but I have to say finding crib linen is proving to be a bit challenging. I know Mr P Home had owls a season or two ago but I really cant find anything anywhere, have any of you seen any owl themed nursery type thingies anywhere?

Hahahaha, Lida - awh a little boy that is awesome, luckily you didn't go out and buy pink stuff like a crazy person

I must say the birthing video's doesn't really scare me either - but I would be lying if I said that I am not a little concerned about the pain factor and I am scared of the needle they do the epidural with... but I am sure when the time comes I will be in so much pain that I will be begging for that needle

Tomorrow we are going for our next scan - crossing fingers to hear what we are expecting and also to be reassured that everything is still fine and that baby is growing like a little trooper. Cannot wait for tomorrow morning!!!

Good morning ladies!!

We went to our anatomy scan yesterday! What an exciting day!! We had ours a bit late as our doc wasn't available at 20weeks. Huge fun either way! We had a tour of the hospital as well, we are going to Femina for the birth. Also looking at antenatal classes with them from their Stork's Nest @BabyT and STK they also have them over the weekends so that is rather convenient if you wanted to check with them maybe as well..

@meijermom I feel you on having a fat week... Me and baby has been going through a major growth spurt these past 2 weeks and everything I put on is uncomfortable!!

Then.. My big surprise of the day... We had a gender scan at 16 weeks with the doc here at home, and luckily the doc in Pta told us that if we do have a scan, keep in mind that 16 weeks is still rather early so maybe just wait until the anatomy scan to reveal the gender... Thank the stars for that advice...

My little baby girl... Is a boy!!!

I'm still in shock! Haha!! Happy (now) but in shock!! Luckily we haven't revealed yet and haven't started buying anything yet!! What a week!
