Morning ladies

For me the general rule applied

My first LG's birth-weight was 3,97kg and she was born one day after her due date.

My second LG's birth-weight was 4,21kg and she was born 10 days before her due date.

So they say.

My first was born at 39 weeks weighing 4,18kg. My second was born at 40 weeks weighing 4,1kg.

Both my mother and mother-in-law had smaller second babies.

I guess in general it is true, but not always :)

its the rule of thumb yes, but i do not think it is true for everyone.

my 1st baba was a big baby with 3,7kb born at 38 weeks.
up to the previous scan my 2nd baby seemed smaller, but the last scan gynie said they are very on par (as she has all the notes from my previous pregnancy)
but i doubt that my 2nd one will be bigger, but they might be very similar in weight

me 35, DH 39

So ladies I have been told that generally all subsequent pregnancies about your first born, the 2nd, 3rd , 4th and onwards, these babies are generally larger in birth weight than the first born. This is what my gynae said when we first at my first u/s

Anyone experienced this or heard about this.

At 16 weeks my baby measured the size (weight) of a 19 week foetus, so the gynae told me again, I told you you going to have another big baby, which we just giggled about.

I was just curious so I pulled out my first born's u/s and she also measured every scan 3 weeks larger or ahead of her actual size, and she was born at 3.8kg.

Interesting subject for me, would like to hear your experiences and thoughts.
