We paid R500 for a Saturday full day course - 5 years ago mind you - at Netcare Femina in PTA...

Perhaps she can contact them and find out what their prices are now... that Saturday course was more than sufficient for us.

I saw on the your pregnancy website there is online antenatal classes, I did not go investigate it nut may be worth a try.

Also try the Netcare Storks Nests, generally they have 1-2 hour classes weekly for 6 weeks and some have crash courses on Saturday's but much longer timeslot to cover over 2 Saturdays, I don't think they under R500 but last I used them, they where most affordable (R700 for 6 weeks it was 4 years ago - JHB in the east rand)

Good Luck in the search, the storks nest we using in DBN now charges R1200 for the 6 weeks but being in Umhlanga everything is just over priced.

Can anyone give some advice on reasonably priced antenatal classes in JHB? Mine were super expensive and long-winded - 3hrs a week for 7 weeks! My friend is now pregnant and has a budget of R0, but I still want to be able to recommend at least a basic, Saturday crash course to her. She's seeing a gynae at Netcare Garden City, and is on a Discovery Key Care plan, but has already exhausted her specialist benefits.

Any suggestions would be great - preferably under R500?
