We seeing the gynae saturday i cant wait. With the baby staff i need a strong Compactum

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone is well. I went to the gynae today due to terrible pains in my lower abdomen. Was stressing about these pains. Doc said all is fine. Its round ligament pains and i have to live with it. However we did get to find out the sex of our baby. At 14 weeks and 2 days - we having a boy! Soooooo excited as i knew this was going to be a boy. First grandson for my inlaws

Hi Lizzy- my advise is dont worry too much. You'll find that your gynae appointments are not as long as you would like them to be but the doc will check everything. Being a first time mom your gynae should allow you time to ask any questions you may have. So maker the first appointment count. Otherwise have fun and enjoy the scan and heartbeat...

Catshart- do share your list. I know with my first i made it a point to not go overboard so I only bought things towards the end of the pregnancy.

I had a relatively easy birth and labour but I feel this time following the ectopic pregnancy and the subsequent operations I may end up with a c-section. I'm hoping the a natural again.

@Catshart - True words! I have seen 3 of my friends wanting natural births and ended up with a C-sec, I am hoping for a all natural birth, but I am also keeping in mind that I may end up with a C-Sec its all fine as long as my baby is healthy.

Please share your list, I will only start buying as soon as I know. The baby room is my department hubby knows that lol.

@Lizzy - The nervs never goes away I still get nervous before my visits to the Dr. Don't be scared, they take a urine sample and then you will have your scan, Dr will play you the heart beat and that'a amazing! Dr will do the NT scan, that's when they measure the clear (translucent) space in the tissue at the back of your baby's neck.

We are starting the room as soon as we know the sex. We have very different ideas about what we want though. Im sure i will win hahahaha

With regards to knowing what you need, im very lucky that my sister and just about all my friends have had kids. People get so excited and buy so much stuff that never gets used. Im not going to do that. Its such a waste. So my friends and i made up a list of all the stuff they needed and actually used so im sorted in that department.

Just one thing i have to say. Please dont get your heart set on pregnancy and birth going one way and then it doesn't. Ive seen so many friends and family suffer because they had a plan (like all natural and breast feeding) and then they ended up with c sections and unable to breast feed. It really broke them. So my motto is go with the flow. Whatever happens happens and you can deal with it.

Hi ladies

Im a FTM...im 13 weeks pregnamt going on my 14th on Friday. As this is my first i dont know what to expect at my first app which will be on sat. Im so nervous that i keep on extending my visits i cont wait to see what my 1st scan looks like but so scared of what to expect.... keep in mind that i totally hate doctors!! So i just need some advice to put myslf at ease... pleae help moms
