However, about a month ago Moomie was contacted by a company called Panorama that does blood tests before you have to have an amniocentesis.
If you've ever had to make a decision like this, I think this information would help you. I myself was very surprised, I did not know such a test existed.
Please share your own stories of testing when you were pregnant. Have you ever had to go through an amniocentesis? And how did you handle it?
One of the most beautiful things the mom I interviewed said, was that before the test, herself and her husband thought they'd never be able to handle it if their baby was not developing the way they thought "normal" but having to wait five weeks for the test results, made them reconsider their whole outlook. They decided even before they received the test results that they love their baby unconditionally.
