Cost effectiveness?

If you're in Gauteng, Midwives Exclusive in Pretoria - very cost effective if you opt for home birth or birth at their birthing house. Genesys in Jhb, bit more expensive though.. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Where are you located - Cape Town / Durban/ Johannesburg / Pretoria ......?

A more affordable option would either to go to a birthing home or even giving birth at your home with a midwife. I know in Cape Town that the Karl Bremer Hospital (Government) located in Bellville has had good feedback on their maternity ward and services. Yes it is public and yes there might be lack of 'service' but I have heard mostly good stories coming from there.

After many years of trying to fall Preggies in between loads of obstacles... I am now pregnant
however our next obstacle is our medical aid refuses to pay as we haven't been with them long enough.

I was always the one saying that you should never be without a medical aid, but life decided to teach me a lesson

Would anyone be able to guide me with any options, in this i mean, cost effective hospitals, scans, etc.
