Has anyone experienced same

My son (Now 2) had severe IUGR. He weighed 1.6kg at 35 weeks. I had cortisone injections for his lungs, although he still needed to be on a ventilator. We had a 2 week stay in the NICU. Today he is a superstar. Hang in there. I went in to preterm labour at 24 weeks, luckily the doctors managed to stop it. My water was also very low. My doctor advised on a high protein diet (apparently it helps with the weight gain).

I heard about the same history about 7 months pregnant girl. The babygirl was born under her weight. She vas very small and week. There was needed an extra oxygen to develop her lungs. Now she's beautiful and healthy girl!

yes, we were in exactly the same situation at 28 weeks. We went to the fetal assessment center in Pretoria and was told the same thing. They monitored baby for the next 2 weeks, having scans almost every second day. I was scheduled to go in the Thursday for a C-section but the little 'water' I had broke the day before and our son was born the Wednesday morning at 6am. He weighed only 1.5kgs and was born on 30 weeks. He was diagnosed with Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). I also had steroid injections and that really helped develop is lungs. He didn't even need extra oxygen in the NICU. He was very under weight. Hang in there! The little ones are very strong. Today he is a busy lil 3 year old, caught up on a speech delay he had and is on par with his weight and height.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience up to date,at this stage I feel so confused.
I'm 28weeks into my 3rd pregnancy ( and yes even with a 5 year old and 3year old ) totally clueless . Upon visiting the dr last week after feeling a lot less movement, referred to the fetal assessment center where we were told, that the amniotic fluid levels are very low and the Doppler levels borderline.the most concerning factor baby only measuring in at 24 weeks,and a concerning small head. Were advised to monitor placenta and fetal stress weekly.was started on steroid injections too last week.
At this stage none of them can tell us how long we will be able to have him grow in utero a little longer.
Has anyone had a similar situation?
