I'm bonitas and was for both my babies births.

You need to register them within 30 days. It takes about 1 to two weeks for them to confirm the baby as a dependant. As long as you can prve you've submitted the forms to them before the 30 days are up, you shouldn't have a problem.

However, saying that. I'm battling because hannah had to go for Billirubin tests (jaundice) and they sent the account before she was registered and now there's a hoo-ha about who is liable for payment. Will resend the accouhnts to medical and see what they say.

Other than that I have had not a single problem with the girls, their births, accounts, etc!

I'm on Bonitas. Baby will be covered for 30 days under your name, but you have to register him/her within 30 days after the birth as a dependant. There will be no waiting period for baby, he/she will be covered in full if you register him within the 30 days after birth.

I'm not sure with Bonitas, but with Keyhealth (they were MuniMed when we had LO), we had to register him within 30 days of being born, as a dependant on the MA.

They paid every single cent towards the delivery of LO (had a c-sec due to complications).

I can only speak for Discovery but we were covered for 28 days under our own name for Dylan. We sent forms and he was covered straight away, but we have had medical aid for years.

Does anyone know how long it takes to register a dependant (baby) on Bonitas and if there is a waiting period before one can actually use the M-aid?
