Thats all of us here! :-)

Charnenay - we went to builders warehouse yesterday and it almost lunch time so i popped in a purity as well if we are out at mealtime its easiest. so while DH and dad went to get the stuff we needed for our house, mom and I went and sat at the coffee shop to feed K. We noticed on the kiddie menu they had bangers and chips... oh my word Kaelyn ate three bangers to herself... (Just those bite size ones) it was amazing i'd take a bite... strip the hard skin off and give it to her... and by the time i had the next piece ready she was asking for it... Didn't eat the chips though.

and in other news... still no sleep in our household... she has gone straight from cutting her second tooth to what seem to be her top tooth now. and it is hurting her something fierce! Last night i gave her ponstal and even that didn't seem to help! she eventually slept with her knees on our bed and her head on my chest... and even that was a seriously restless sleep.

Poor thing!

Thanx Charnenay. Yes, Sher got me to come here.

Well, I used to chat on Pampers and moved here with the big migration :P Have a 6 year old boy. Tried to fall pregnant when he was about 3, fell pregnant but then had a MC. After that it took us a while to fall preggies again, but now we are blessed with the sweetest little girl. And I now believe that things work out perfect in the end. I don't think I would have been able to cope with a closer age gap. These 2 keep me more than busy.

I am a SAHM since May last year and is enjoying it thus far. Ok, have to admit, I am getting a bit itchy now and should probably get back in the market sometime soon.

Look forward to chatting to you all

Hi ladies

Thought I'll pop in and say hi to the August moms. I'm actually on the Sept 2010 thread, but it is very quiet there.

My little girl was born on 3 Sept, I was actually hoping she would be an Aug babe ;)

Reading about all your little ones, it seems like my one is far behind. But like I said on the Sept thread, I'm not encouraging her too much to be mobile. She is very vocal though and everyone says she might be an early talker. (Not sure I can handle that. Have a 6 year old that is talking NON-STOP.) Also no teeth yet, although she has shown signs of teething fom about 3 months.

I have no idea how much she weighs at present. Will wait till she goes for het 9 months jabs to find out. But I'm getting very annoyed at people telling me in the shops that she is too fat  She has chubby cheeks. She fits nicely in most her 6-12 month clothes. Some of it I still need to roll up the sleeves.

Looking forward to read about your little ones.

Cols, we use the probiotic sachets (probiflora) - they are ridiculously expensive, but they work really well. Emily suffered badly with constipation when we switched her over to formula and as soon as I started the probiotic, she was fine. I find that if I don't give her at least 3 sachets a week now, we battle with constipation again. She used to have a sachet everyday, but now I just make ure that she gets at least 3 or 4 sachets per week.

emily does enjoy brocolli and carrots also - anything that she can feed herself with really :) and the cheese too - I buy the little kiddy size blocks at Woolies and she likes those. I bought quite a bit of the woolies baby food range, but she is not interested at all - she wants real food that she can pick up, does not like to be fed.

Wow Charn, that is an excellent lunch. I think I will try the boiled eggs then :) What about oven bake chips, you get sweet potato ones now? Or steamed baby carrots / broccolli, would she eat that? Evan likes purity broccolli and cheese sauce but not mine and mine is so much nicer :P Maybe those small laughing cow cheese blocks - she can pinch them between her fingers. I read the other day that Oaties cereal is a better (more nutritional) snack than finger biscuits as a snack. I tried them and Evan enjoys them but I have to make sure he only takes 1 at a time :)

Sher, good idea, I was thinking of getting the probiotic sachets. Maybe it will help him drink some more milk.

cols, french toast is a lovely idea - I am going to try that as a special treat after her cereal tomorrow :) Emily does not like scrambled eggs at all, but she eats boiled egg. On Saturday I gave her 3 chicken nuggets, half a boiled egg and 4 strawberries for lunch and she loved that. I need to think of things that she can pick up and eat by herself to keep her interested - tonight it is meatballs, sweet potato chunks and peas.
