So the news is that it looks like the wait is over, went to the gynea this afternoon and though baby is 3.5kg and looking good the placenta is looking very calcified and doc didn't seem happy to leave it to chance so shes booked me in for induction at 4am tomorrow morning, wish me luck!

XOXO

Congrats Jeanine and Eileen! Can't wait to hear more about the births and see some pics.

Shame Girly, you have been so strong. Your little girl will be home with you soon, she is such a little fighter.

Aaah Kerry, I feel your aches and pains, I have also been experiencing them for some time now. And also was able to wear my wedding rings up until last week, now they're just too tight. I find taking calcium and slowmag before bed definitely helps with the leg and pelvic aches and I've started taking arnica tablets already and will continue for a few weeks after the birth to help with the stiff aching muscles (and bruising after birth).

Last night I had proper practice labour (BH), it was a little more intense than I anticipated. Not bad enough to make me get out of bed but kept me awake and with each wave I would try turn to the other side to relieve it a little. Felt mostly like heavy period cramps and lower back was aching too. Also my boy was moving around alot, contributing to the stretching and aching. But once I got out of bed this morning and walked around a bit, all gone. So definitely not real labour. Will wait and see if it happens again tonight :cheer:

Feel so tired today, can't get going. I'm going to have a nice shower now and do some washing - can't believe how much more I used to do in my "previous life" - hehe.

DH and I had 3 social plans on Sunday and we cancelled all 3 because we did a PnP Hyper shop and I was finished afterwards. In our "old lives" we would have gone to all 3 social engagements and probably done the shopping too!
Oh well, I'm so focused on baby now, all other things are falling by the wayside. I can't wait to meet him :cheer:

Hey Robyn, I know what you mean, I'm scared to go out on my own now and I'm normally so independent. Got my next appointment on thurs morn and my mom is taking me and then we're stopping at the shops for some last minute things. Oh and my tummy is very hard, but my boy is big so I thought it was just that (and his pushing cos he can't really kick anymore). Is it also a sign of BH?

Good luck for your scan on friday! This is probably the last weekend of "freedom" for you and me, if our bambinos don't come early :woohoo:

Hi girls

Just popping in quickly while up to express.

As you might've read, Kaylee was born with a heart defect (A few actually) and had heart surgery when she was 8days old. She is still in ICU at Groote Schuur, but is doing really well now, and came off the ventilators yesterday and is breathing on her own now.
She looks so nice without all the pipes, even more beautiful than I remembered.
It's been a really tough time, but we have been in fantastic hands there, and the Lord has been faithful and strong for us this past week.
Sounds like they might let her come home in a few days time, so really really looking forward to that.

Right now I have to express to keep up my milk supply. Every 3hrs, including night times (although I'm doing 4hrly at night cos I just cant handle middle of the night waking up to stare into a breastpump instead of my little girly.
But I'm just happy my Kaylee baby is doing well, and soon she'll be back home with us.

Sorry for no personals, I want to get back to bed for a few hours before the next feed.
Congrats to all whose LO's have arrived.
And all the best for those still waiting. Being a mom is like nothing I could ever explain, I absolutely love it!

Hi all!

I'm back! Izibella is the most amazing little angel ever! (Spoken like a true mom...hehehehe)

I had the BEST birth experience ever! You would not believe it if I say EVERYTHING was just absolutely perfect. From the dr's, to the c-section, to the nurses, Izibella, hubby, my girls....everything was just amazingly perfect.

When I arrived on Friday morning, I was booked in the same room as a friend of mine (she gave birth at 35 weeks). How awesome is that???? God is just so faithfull. I prayed for a few things on the way to hospital, and God just showered me with blessings.

Hubby is soo in love with his little girl. Which to me is just so precious. My girls is so good, and really tries to help out a lot.

We came home on Sunday, and has settled in nicely.

With regards to pain....um....this should not be this easy! I can't say that I've had one minute of really bad pain. Uncomfy yes, but no tears of pain.

As soon as we all settled we'll have lekker chats!

Good luck to the girls still waiting for their precious bundles! Big hugs to all of you!

Congrats Jeanine!!
Pls post your birth story as soon as you have some time

DH took some tummy pics this evening - will try upload them this week
Going for my (most probably) last scan on Fri - 4 days before my EDD
Still feeling good - don't know if I'm having slight BH but I do feel my tum getting hard (always thought it was bubs)

Dakotais even more active now (although the movements are meant to slow down) - lots of poking out and prodding - like waves inside

I keep wondering where I'll be when my water breaks - don't want to stray too far from home!!
