Hope u all doing great & those at home now like myself, wanting on our package to arrive

Cant begin to tell u all what a hectic few days i've had...
DH was in town Thurs. as u know, went for a interview that day but got word yesterday before he left that it was unsuccessful so it's back to the drawing board but his contemplating on taking a voluntary retirement package 'n looking for work here but be in Ct and look for work...so his thinking about that as u receive a payout for 6 months so in that time u can look for work...shame he was so sure he was going to get it but I told him not to give up!

My last day at work was now Friday past but I never went in because I sprained my muscle on my left hand side even more with this terrible cough...i couldn't walk or cough so DH had to help to to the gynae rooms that morning & I was too sore to do an internal exam either...soon after that went to the GP
just to check if I didn't pick up pneumonia but it's just a muscle spasm...i believ this is common as baba occupies ur tummy so that is why u feel it at ur side...the pain subsided now, still coughing but at least it's not soo painful anymore, phlem on my chest...
Like I mentioned, did my 36week checkup on Fri. lil p is 100% weighing in 2.9kg's but i've now been booked for an elective c section on the 30th July so DH has godda be back here Thurs. next week...doesn't look like i'm going to be a Aug. mommy she's getting too big for me coz of my frame, she was suppose to come the week of Aug, 4 - 6 after my bday which is the 2nd but looks like she'll be here soon soon, she betta just hang in there I'll be 38 weeks then but I have my last appointment now Friday again so we gonna check my cervix and where we stand...dr. said my placenta still low so lots 'n lots of rest is needed so I'm glad I decided to take off now seeing as I'm going to give birth now next week already shoo where has the time gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My MIL bought us a carrycot on Sunday, so sweet plus I did my last minute shopping, cannot belive how expensive prams are, we gonna wait on that for now....I cannot walk for looong periods of time now & dont even get me started on the sleeping, i cannot sleep on my sides 'n I sleep with a bean bag as my side's still sore but bearable!

Dunno if I told u guys but I work for Johnson & Johnson so Thurs. past they had a tea for me 'n they gave me all sorts of products, a nice hamper 'n DVD's to watch regarding newborn 'n what to do etc. so I betta get cracking as my days are numbered as we speak Mine 'n lil p's bag is ready to go! Just called

I really wished we could get together as we planned but not so sure now, might be a mom anyday from now too Called my medical aid yesterday to change my delivery date 'n I went to submit my forms for my maternity UIF so that is done!

jeanine dis lekker om so bederf te word jy moet kom fotos oplaai! my family is all over SA so this time round they are sending parcels and it is so nice getting them and opening them as time goes by!! so ek het nie 1 babyshower gehad nie, maar 'n klomp. and this time round i also did not want my friends to arrange one for me - ek wou dit stil en sonder enige hype hê.

ag it was not sucha fright cos it is almost exactly what happened the previous time at 36w. only thing is then i went into preterm labour and they had to stop it...so if i make it past 36w3d i will be longer pregnant than the previous time

other than yesterday's (actually this weekend's) story i'm still fine, one lady at my LB's creche could not belief it when i told her this morning its only 4w to go (after she said, awe now we can see your bump)

i really hope all will be smooth sailing from now till 16 Aug and i'm hoping to work a while still, at least i don't have a 'stressful' job or work situation. so i've decided that i will take it day by day...my last day is supposed to be 06 Aug (if i go according to my approved ML), but with what happened i am going to listen to my bod...

i second sleeping on the tummy as soon as baba is here, i really miss it!!

Wow Nikki, time getting short! Only a few more days for you.

Glad everything is fine Mommy, must have been a fright.

Hehe, my mom also loves knitting, only most her patterns look very girly .
So now I'm keeping her busy crocheting (hope correct spelling) some of my blankets And as soon as thats done, I'll pass along the spit nappies

I'm 27, and DH 29, been married 2 1/2 years - but been together about 6 - so also been getting lots of hints about grandkids

So, seems my guesses were correct, I had my baby shower on Saterday!!! Was so nice, and got really spoiled (will post some photo's later, still have to download all of them)

Otherwise still doing fine, still no heartburn / nausea / pains - hopefully they will stay far far away these last few weeks.

Sleeping - not great, but not too bad either. Also struggling to go back to sleep after trips to the loo, for me its seems that my hips and legs are going numb from lying on them so much, so once awake I tend to want to turn every hour or so
The FIRST thing I'm doing after baby is here is sleep on my stomach again!!!

Well, back to work for me I guess - envy you guys on ML already.
I'm either leaving end of next week, or the week therafter. Will see what scan says tomorrow, if he seems ready to come early, or want stay a bit longer

wow Nikki the time is here, strongs and i'm glad you don't have to go the c-sec route one of these days you'll have your lil angel in your arms.

on the how old/long been together...this is our (hubbs and myself) big 3 0 year - already had mine. we've been dating since 1999, married since 2005 and our first lil angel was born in 2007.

kerry that lil knitted sleeping bag sounds so nice! I want to make a lil flannel one for baby - i have a woolies one, but that one seems so cold.

just a lil update, since friday i started getting headaches, seeing stars, nosebleeds, rash....so yesterday morning i phoned my gynie. his sec said come in at 13:00 for a check up cos dr is in theatre and 10 mins later i received a call to go to the labour ward asap for observations and tests. got there they booked me in...said i have to stay not allowed to go home (DH went and pack my bag which at that stage was still not packed hehe). so did all the tests (all clear, in a sense not to start worry about it), my BP was high for first two readings and then late afternoon it went down to almost normal and Liam's stress tests was fine - he is doing great so i got discharged. yay!! The other things that counted in my favour was that i have no swelling and very lil weight gain to date (tot 6kgs)...

NOW dr wants me to seriously consider going on ML earlier, like in asap, so i said we can discuss it at my next appointment which is monday Thanx girly, blessed for the prayers.

all is fine now and i am going to keep it that way.

Hi everyone

Gynae appointment this morning went very well! Peyton's head has finally engaged and I'm 1cm dilated so I don't need to have the c section tomorrow after all, so glad that I can still have a natural birth now.

I've had a bit of discharge and he said that is the start of my labour and it could be any day now. He said that if I don't go into labour by next Monday, he will induce. She is currently 3.4kg and looking very comfortable!

She is lying face up though, so hopefully she rotates over the next few days.

So it looks like I'm not going to be an August Mom after all!

I'm just happy that everything looks well, BP slightly higher, but fine, so swelling, still lots of movement and fluid around her.

Also experiencing a bit of heartburn and still struggling to sleep at night. Just so glad I'm on ML and can stay off my feet. Also find sleeping in an upright position helps a bit. Bounce a lot on my birthing ball as well encouraging her lower into pelvis.

I am 31 and married the man of my dreams 2008. I am already mommy to Abigail 12 and Gabrielle Grace 10 from my previous marriage. This is hubby's 1st baby and the 1st grandchild...propably the only, as his brother died in a bike accident. His mother passed away 3 years ago, so this is finally some happiness. Both passed away in August...having Izibella in August is very special.

I am also an only child with only my mom left (dad passed away). But my stepdad is over the moon at the prospect of being oupa. His only daughter is lesbian and doesn't want anything to do with him. He is overprotective of me and Izibella and we get reprimanded if we don't come and show the scans the same night. Then he sits and admires the pics for hours...really sweet.

The heartburn can ma really stop now! It's killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
