Hi Ladies

Arrgg, it's only Wed!!

DH is in Jhb for today, so I woke up at 05h00 (with DH banging around and leaving for the airport) sort out the dogs, get ready for work, get D ready, get her to Ouma (which DH usually does on his way to work) and then get to work by 08h30 - I sat in traffic for 90mins

D walks so nicely now, just holding one hand
I took D to the Barnyard on Sun with my parents - she loved watching the ponies
and the pigeons (just like my dogs - she wanted to run thru the flock of birds eating
on the ground)

Girly, so nice to see you again!!! I'm glad you cought K in time. Ugh, those rashes are the pits. Evan gets them from Augmentin. Nystacid ointment - you can get over the counter - is also very good. I use it for alternative nappies and Bepanthen. Rooibos tea bags are so handy too. You can use cooled rooibos tea and a cotton bud to clean baby's eyes if they get an infection too.

The Dr said we both have flu  , it's viral so it wont help to give ABs unless Evan starts with a fever. He gave me Sinuclear and Stopain for Evan to see him through the teething. He said if he starts with a fever I must bring him back for ABs... I got Corenza - like that'll make a difference. And he has given me a new script for my migraines. Lets see if it helps. Been getting them a lot again.

No baba news here yet :) AF arrived on Friday. It's my 1st cycle off the pill so at least I know the start date. We're not actively ttc, just going with the flow :) I have a gynae check up on the 5th to see how everything's looking :)

Can your Dr give you something to jumpstart your system - AF - now that you are weaning? I started while i was BF so I really am unsure... Sorry hun :(

Everything seems in order for Evan's birthday / Christening :) Paid the hiring deposit yesterday, cake is ordered etc.

Cols what did the doctor say?
Maybe a good idea for you both to stay home with antibiotics and get well together, otherwise you keep making each other sick.
Hopefully next year will go better with winter and babies getting sick with their immune systems being stronger & more antibodies!

PM so glad to hear all went well with the grommets! How long before you see any difference?

Candice bleh!!! I hate when that happens so I always select my text and 'CTRL C' before I post just in case something happens.

Everyone else hello. Sorry I cant remember everything.
B2B went for a scan last week and all is well. She was 8w3d along.
And Liani is 21 weeks along expecting another girl!

Any more preggy moms?
Cols its your turn next hey!

Congrats to everybody with all the latest developments!!! So exciting watching our baba's grow!
Are all the bday parties planned?

Kaylee was sick last week. We caught it just in time though. But the antibiotics are so awful for her, always makes her tummy work and gives her a horrible rash on her bum and her fan-fan lips, she screams like mad when we clean it :( But someone at work told me to use a rooibos teabag and apply it with a warm cloth. So tonight I sommer put a teabag into her bath water and used the left over teabag on my face :D

Development wise also coming in leaps and bounds.
She has started standing on her own for a few seconds. Doesnt happen all the time, and she doesnt even realise she's doing it, but once she realises it she goes down quickly.
She's discovered her stacking cups, and loves stacking them. She's also discovered putting smaller objects into bigger objects, like the dummy into the stacking cup.
She tips over her little toybox and repacks it. Anything and everything she throws into the bath! When she sits in her highchair with toys, she pushes them over the edge to watch how they fall.
She's learnt to 'ta' and is also saying 'ta' which is either for ta or ta-ta.
She also tries to put everything into my mouth all the time. It's too cute!!!

She lost almost 500grams last week cos she didnt eat for 2 days. She was sitting at 7.9kgs but is now back at 7.6. some 6-12 month stuff is too short for her, so grows etc, but pants and tops are miles too big esp ackermans stuff. Doc says she's average height but 30th percentile weight.
Ackermans have a sale on atm, I bought a bunch of stuff there.

I bought Lactogen 3 for her this weekend so when she finishes this bottle of Lactogen 2 we'll be going over to 3!!!
She's self weaning on the breast at the moment. Basically only drinks from me in the middle of the night and in the morning before work. The rest of the time she's on a bottle. I'm rather sad but at the same time happy that she's growing up so nicely!

Did any of you see my post about period returning?
Mine still isn't back even though I'm not properly feeding anymore.
I'd really like it back soon so that I can have regular cycles for a few months before we start trying again.
Our current plan is to go off the pill in January and casually try, and if nothing happens by K's 2nd bday then we can try more seriously. Not sure how finances and work etc will tie in with that plan, but I'm turning 30 this year and dont really want to leave it too long.
Now I need to loose 20kgs by January!!!

Anyway that's me and my update! I gotta go shower and then go to bed, I'm zonked. (I'm meant to do some work tonight but cant face that right now!)

Night all xx

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Kerry, I am so glad you guys had a good night off. Pitty about FIL but at least you could lie in while Josh entertained :)

Candice, wow, Lilly is such a good eater! I wish Evan would eat better... I love those apple / chicken balls. Evan doesnt love them as much. I should probably try again though as his teeth are bigger and he likes biting everything now. It is so nice and warm today :) I hope spring will be upon us soon!!! I already bought Evan 3 little onesy pyjama's at woolworths for summer. You know those R 30 budget ones? I love them.

PM, it's only a pleasure. I know how terrifying it is... I am so glad little miss did so well :) We are very blessed with our little angels. I really hope this is the end of your troubles and Iz has a full healthy recovery!

Evan still has a nasty cough from his runny nose and screamed blue murder from 11 - 12 last night. His tonsils are all red and swollen - yup he was screaming so badly I could see the back of his throat! I am also sick with flu so we are off to the GP at 3. Hopefully he'll book me off. I need a break and feel k@k :( I had to give Evan neurofen and panado eventually. He slept from 12 - 3:50 am then wanted his bottle. He downed it and then coughed in his sleep for half an hour. I had him in bed with me from 11 and DH went to the spare room because he had to get up early to study for his test this saturday. He has 4 teeth coming, 3 on top and 1 at the bottom so you can only imagine what this poor little guy is going through..

On a happy note, Evan is crawling properly on his knees, he is standing up on his own (for a few seconds), climbing into cupboards, pulling himself up on everything, Trying to climb onto the coffee table (but it's too high for his little legs), saying more words, copying what we do, clapping his hands, playing high & lo 5, turning the pages of his books nicely (not just chewing the covers), exploring more on his own and his walking is coming along nicely and he even using his push along walker a little. It really seems he has had such a developmental spurt and really caught up with everything nicely now. Oh and he is finally getting some hair (which I will not be shaving - I had no hair at birth and have had such super thick hair my whole life and my mom never shaved my hair) :) And they are laying the concrete and steel reinforcements for the pool today :)
