Sky - I would say something. If they haven't set a date yet, maybe they can wait till begining of June when you are not around. It could be dangerous to you and the baby.

Hi Ladies,

Nadia - My husband is the same, he does not help at all around the house and I have to nag him to do something all the time.

He also told me that he is not like other men that are hovering over the pregnancy because it is not our first hild.

So, I decided not to even bother trying any more. I am now fixing things around the house myself, very minor, eg door knobs that have falled off, etc. and I just ask my son to help out (with a R20 here and there) and now we are slowly fixing up all little minor repairs.

I am really sorry to mention this, but he has a drinking problem, but he will never admit it. So, I am also wondering if he will even be nearby when I go into labour.

We are already fighting about the money that I received, because he is already spending it, in his head.


Nadia, you can do it by yourself, if you have to, but I am sure that he will come around .

nadia maybe in the long run its best to have your mom there then to give you support, he may be all moody and grumpy i guess if you force him and then you wont have a good experience anyways.

Ladies on another topic, i just seen that our company is refurbishing our floor beginning sometime in may, i am here till end of may. I have a feeling they are breaking down walls maybe repainting, etc etc... i really dont know how i feel about this as there is no open windows etc here only aircon, they are going to send an email out shortly and we msut speak to hr about any problems but do you think i should say something? I dont want to seem petty and the moaning preggie fairy (they dont have an actual date set tho sometimein may but it will take 2 to 3 weeks....)... thing is if they taking off paint, how old is this paint it could have lead.... what about builders dust and things... i would sit in this atmosphere every day for 3 weeks breathing it all in???

What do you think, should i just leave it and not say anything? do you think i am over reacting? I know i cant tell them not to do it but if they havent set on a date could they delay it a bit?

I wish we could go away before baby comes, but money is tight at the moment. But we have so many things planned in anyway. At least it will be me and Dh the last weekend. I just want to relax at home and be with my man before baby comes.

nadia - I agree your request and plee must be heartfelt dont mention us as some men do take offence to what others say - but I also agree if he doesnt want to come (and i mean hello recliner, pillow and blanket? what more does he need) then I would seriously consider asking a close friend or mum or someone????? do u have somebody to ask? - which hospital u going to btw? u live in pta n right?

Soup - any idea how long you can freeze those Woolies soups for? I'm also planning on buying tomorrow (my mom is giving me her Woolies card heheheheh)

Heartburn - just when I thought the heartburn was subsiding, I woke up this morning with acid burn in my throat - how is that possible if I haven't even eaten anything yet?

Pubic bone pain - I have that as well - blady sore actually. Massaging just above the area seems to help though.
limit -
Carry cot - I bought a Treehouse carry cot from someone on Gumtree. My friend has it because the person was in Durbanville and it's too far from me. I'm so mad though because they said it was new and she smsed last night to say the entire thing is covered in dog or cat hair!! I mean have you ever!

Computer limit - I've given myself a computer limit during exam times so I might be a bit quiet on here. 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours at night. It's the only way I'm going to get studies done.
