Nelria - is she better yet? Is it just a bug? Shame the poor little darling.

Misstq - that's awesome that your folks are coming round. So cool. It's like everyone says, once the baby is there, they'll be smittened.

I love winter. We just had soup with bread with a thick layer of farmhouse butter on it. It was lovely!

I haven't read up about it, but are we suppose to get Braxton Hicks or do only some people feel it? My LB is extremely active, so I'm sure that he is fine, but I haven't felt any Braxton Hicks. I'm actually looking forward to it because I want to see how I handle the pain.

Hi everyone

Finally found my way to you guys. Hope everyone is doing good.

I have extreme munchies today, just can't get full. It's probably the weather, but I love the cold. I also didn't sleep well last night. Was awake every 2 hours and had terrible heartburn and gaviscon just didn't work.

I also feel a bit off today :(
My LG is extremely quiet today and I don't know at what point I should start to worry and phone my gynea. My hubby also hasn't feel her move or kick. I saw in earlier posts someone told about their LO kicking them to pieces, I don't experience that at all. Just hoping she is ok.

Hubby laughed at me last night. We were watching a movie and it wasn't even on for 5 minutes before I started crying like only a pregnant women can!

Mrs SH - do you think we will still have aqua aerobics tomorrow night in this weather? The pool will probably be heated but it is still cold!

Re nappies : I have so far 6 small packs no 1, 4 jumbo packs no 2, 4 jumbo packs no 3. Hope it is enough no 1 and 2.

Our cot and compactum is arriving this week, can't wait! My mom also booked her airline ticket today. She will be coming at the beginning of my ML and stay for about 3 and a half months. I am really glad to have her here, just hope we won't be at each other's throats!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!! that is really good prises for - my epidural was R1800 I still had to pay in on top of what medical aid paid already - so hopefully yours wont be ass much?

wow 34 wks and its a shame re missing baby shower - they are a godsend

giggles u can store expressed milk no longer than 48 hrs in fridge (hospitals chuck after 24hr already)

and up to 1mnth in freezer

when i expressed i put it straight into bottle as I needed it on the same day - but apparantly u get special breastmilk freezing bags that u can use for storing it longer :)

I went to Delta medical clinic on saturday. their prices are unbelievable!! when I told my dad he was like can't be!
natural birth costs P6200 ( no epidural)forgot to ask. and P11200 for c-sec
so I will be having my baby in a private hospital. that’s everything included. im just looking for a new doctor because mine does not deliver there then I will be booking my bed. there is only 2 gynea's I know about and mine ( mr Grumpy ) is the only one who delivers at delta medical clinic. Otherwise I will be stuck with people I don't know. I can't tell you how happy I am! So far my medical bills were around P2000 for April(the continuous visits to the gynae about my amniotic fluid leaking)and guess what...my dad paid it
things just have a way of working out. now I just have to be ready to write exams before she comes and everything will be ok.

it seems like having a baby shower is a great experience. I don't really know people here and all of our family and friends live in S.A so I won't be having one.
:woohoo: 34 weeks tomorrow!!!!!!

Nelria on the topic of breastmilk. When you express breastmilk how do you store it. And for how long can you keep it.

Well Jamie is doing well and so is Mommy, as soon as this changes, he will be entering the world. So that is mostly why I go every week, she will make the decision as soon as some things don't add up. Like my BP is still high but so far no risk for the baby. As well as the water surrounding Jamie is getting to be not that much. SO as soon as any of these things spike he will be entering. For now the C-section date is the 24th of May

missy

your nappy list not too bad - but maybe u dont even use nr 2? so maybe get 4 pcks of newborn, 1 pck of 2 (nip to shop if more needed) then go crazy on 3 and 4 :)

I buy huggies dry comfort if not on special they are R130 per pack and 54 in size 4 pack so around R2.40 per nappy - should get cheaper as size gets smaller as u pay same per pack but get more inside

I pay R60 for the huggies new baby size 44 at toys r us (not special price)

yes - u can combine breastmilk and formula but it shouldnt be necesarry as formula is expansive so rather milk out if u want to give bottle too (this is recommended after 6 wks to just get use to teat aswell) so u can pump and give 1 feed in bottle makes overnighters etc easy :)

I used lactogen - S26 WAYYYYYYYYY to expensive and low in Iron

lactogen is cheapest, longest on the market, time tested, low modification and like i mentioned before pick up 2 tins from differant price range and u will see ingredients list is all the same just quantities differ - LOL
