Booking hospital bed

Huggles, I also want to know the same thing.
The thing with me is that I will be going to my hometown to give birth. Does this mean I have to go there early so that I get another gyn as well?
I am like 6 hours away from my hometown and where I work. I have to be at home, mom will take care of me bcoz hubby will be at work.

Up to which month can I fly or drive?

At how many weeks should I book my hospital bed?

Hi Missytq, when i booked my bed (over a year ago) it was up to me to book my bed not my doctor.

What to ask? Pretty much what you will need to bring to the hospital for you and your LO for the days that you are there.

Gee, was ages ago since i had to do this, um, i cant really think of anything else...maybe some of the other girls can assist.

hey guys. Today I went to find out prices. I don't have medical aid so I have to pay cash. the only private hospital ask P6200-everything included.(natural birth)and P11200.00 for c-sec. There is only one problem, the doctor ive been seeing does not deliver there.
my gynae delivers there. so who is responsible for booking my bed? I'll start seeing a new doctor in next week.(first I have to find one!)
can you also please tell me what to ask them when I go for my tour through the maternity ward clueless! lol => I met the midwife today and asked her if she has time on Monday to take me through the maternity ward on Monday and she's like ARE YOU PREGNANT? my tummy is hanging on my knees woman of course I am! these Botswana people
