wild@heart, with me being a first timer and being dom when coming to taking care of a newborn, I didnt really have much of a choice.
Honestly , I don`t think I would`ve coped on my own with regards to the cord etc. It always freaked me out when I had to bathe her, I was scared I`m hurting her. Not to mention the all night crying coz of colic, my mom was a life saver at that point.

I agree wit wild@heart wildcat, try nt 2 stress abt lo nt turnin cos wa mo stressa le ena. I knw its nt easy nt 2, bt js pray 4 a healthy baba. Jade101-glad 2 hear lo hs grown n dat u nw enjoyin her, dn worry, da spark wil al b back in a few days.... N i guess dat wil draw u guys evn closer. N WOW!! oh Jade101 that is my fear as well,bd has been with me through out,my family has also been surpotive and all,but he is the bd and his presence has been felt even by lo,when i go home for my doc's app,lo just bcomes soo quite,and once bd calls,he bcomz all playfull,he keeps saying he will come see us every weekend,jhb is not that far from pta,but it wont be the same,and i now feel like a nagging $%^&#@,ohhh this is going to be soo hard,and to think my ml starts in two weeks time and i'l only b back next year Jan.That is my fear as well,that we wont connect anymore,and then how do u reconnect and still b a mommy???

We have planned to visit his family in limpopo in dec,but damn,can we survive that long or should we visit him after a few weeks,bt my granny wont hear of it,u'll have to share with me how you survived Jade101

Wildcat2, these fans didn't mis the flights, there was a delay in landing & some flights were turned back due to the number of planes on the ground (no landing space)

Wildcat2, you must stop stressing, you know what they say "it affects the LO", as you said a reg nurse gave advice - now stop stressing. If LO doesn't turn you will have a c-sec & that doesn't meanthe end of the world but it means you will be in good hands & your LO will be as healthy as ever.

Mama_M, maybe its just your body responding to the growth of your LO. Lets hope its nothing tragic - older ppl are right when they say we need rest - alot of rest

Jade101, it is a change being a mommy but believe me its nothing compared to not having them around. they are real angels

Jade101, am sorry but once i have my LO am not moving to any house. Am staying put in my house. I told my Moms & MIL that if they want to help they come to my house & not the other way round. This is my & Hubby's LO & we should be able to support each other & not have me & LO away from home. I am more confortable in my house

you know what was the hardest for me, not having my hubby around.
I mean we went to all the scans together, we shopped together, he was there when she came into this world and then BAM I went home to mom after birth and I missed him like crazy. Its like our connection faded and things were just not the same no more....eish

Jade101 is it that bad,i hope not,i am goner have my granny with me to ease the presure,i hope i can cope,i am just goner try and enjoy lo and if i struggle i'll have ya'll to cheer me up,right???

Oh how i crave pancakes with sugar and ciannamon,cant wait to get home and make them,oh and sous-kleikies(sp?)oh my word,i miss my granny,mmmm and melk-kos,they dont sell those anywhere,pancakes will have to do for now

Guys my baby seems so big today, I`m only starting to enjoy her now, Things have been so hectic since her arrival and now its back to work next month...eish.

Hope our 1st timers are ready for the change that being a mommy brings, I honestly thought I was ready, but obviously I was wrong. That sure was a difficult time for me, I seriously thought I was gonna lose my mind.

lo stays put and those are just random pains. Take it easy doll.
