Family first aid is a practical, hands-on first aid course that will give
you the skills to deal with emergencies at home.
This course focuses
on the most common injuries and first aid for life threatening situations.
It will teach you the vital skills of CPR and also covers child safety, medical and environmental emergencies, choking, care of
injuries and first aid skills.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?
This course is ideal for parents, grandparents, and those taking care
of children such as au pairs and domestic workers.
COURSE CONTENT
This course covers:
CPR and choking relief for infants, children and adults
Wounds and bandaging
Fractures, sprains and splinting
Burns
Head injuries, seizures and shock
Poisoning, bites, stings and allergies
ACCREDITATION
“Family and Friends CPR” and “First Aid for Children” are
international American Heart Association courses run under the
auspices of the Resuscitation Council of South Africa.
DURATION
3 ½ hours
This course is usually run on Saturday mornings from 8.30 – 12.00, but
weekday courses can be arranged to suit you.
