Please pray for a special friend and her LG

Praise God, we serve a Mighty God!!!!! May he continue to bless all of you and May Kaylee be home with you soon.....

Just popping in quickly while up to express.

As you might've read, Kaylee was born with a heart defect (A few actually) and had heart surgery when she was 8days old. She is still in ICU at Groote Schuur, but is doing really well now, and came off the ventilators yesterday and is breathing on her own now.
She looks so nice without all the pipes, even more beautiful than I remembered.
It's been a really tough time, but we have been in fantastic hands there, and the Lord has been faithful and strong for us this past week.
Sounds like they might let her come home in a few days time, so really really looking forward to that.

I'm sooo happy my Kaylee baby is doing well, and soon she'll be back home with us.

Thanks for all the prayers and support received over the weekend.
Sorry for not replying to all SMS's. I just dont get a chance, and we're not allowed phones in the ICU which is where we spend a large part of our days.

Congrats again Girly, we'll be thinking and praying that the results are good tomorow, hng in there, be strogn and we are all here for you.

Kaylee sounds like a strong girl and a lil' fighter, and together as a family you'll be able to get though whatever, and remember through Him, all things are possible!

Oh yes wanted to mention

Other than possible / probable heart problems which seem to be mostly manageable but could impact certain activities / have lots of ops etc as worst case, Kaylee is perfect in every way.

Eating like a pro, picked up weight quickly after first day weight loss. Good stools, umbilical cord came off day 4, agpar scoring 9 then 10, all other vital signs good.
So we are very proud parents I tell you!

Hi ladies

I will update properly tomorrow when I get half a second cos you wont believe how our parenthood journey began - thinking literally we were going to lose our little girl and no information about how long.

Please keep us in your prayers tomorrow. At 10AM we take Kaylee for another Echo on her heart and based on that will determine whether her possible condition has gotten worse or better or stabilized.

It is operable, thank the Lord, but we are praying for miracles that it will be gone.
Depending on how bad the result is, we will then see paed heart surgeon at Chris Barnard who consults with Susan Vosloo. Believe both are very well known worldwide in paediatric cardiothoracic Surgery with infants and even premi's in ICU and regardless of echo outcome we will be referred to them for any future treatment required.
We are in brilliant hands, including the Lord's but we are praying for a miracle. We also have found a brilliant paed we are so thankful!

h I could not be more grateful for all our friends and family who have gotten us through this.
It has been a tough week, tiring in every way and we were robbed the joy of bringing her home on cloud 9 happiness but we WILL make up for it.
Each day as a parent gets easier and more rewarding I would not change it for anything! I was destined to do this!
We are anxious for tomorrow, and really hope it will go well. And then we can start enjoying parenthood even more than uptill now.
