That's sweet of you Hanlie. I would look for something that he would be able to keep forever, something sentimental. Does he wear jewelry? Then you can get something and engrave it. Or 'steal' his wedding ring and engrave something on the inside. Or a nice watch and engrave on the back or strap or something. If not, what about a nice expensive pen (business guy type) which you can also engrave. Or something cheaper like a printed mug with a pic of baby's scan and a poem? Or engraved lighter with scan pic (or realy pic once baby is here) if he smokes. I once gave my husband a plant. What I did - I bought a big pot and ivy plant. I then made a big heart out of wire and planted it and the ivy grew on the heart. He really loved that.
