Please don't beat yourself up about it - it happens and as they get more mobile so the bruises will appear all over the body.

At about 11 months Liam decided to get up and jump off the bed, onto the bedside table and chipped half his (only) tooth off. And I was also right there, on the same side of the bed, doing a rugby tackle type thing trying to catch him.

Brandon at about 3 months decided to try the turning over thing with on his changing station and rolled right off, once again I was right there. In fact if I remember correctly I actually had my hand on him, reaching over to get his shirt to dress him. Just did not expect it and there was nothing to grab to stop him.

Point is, they do these things just to keep us on our toes, just as when they become toddlers they speak for the sake of speaking :)

He cried immediately. Is that a good thing? He went head first and his his face on the side table then landed on his back on the floor. He is back to his usual self, so i think that he is ok.

Dont worry, just keep a eye out for any vommiting or if he is sleepy all the time, just like Nefertiti said watch out for concussion or any head injury. But they most supple when they young.;

oh sweetheart, don't feel bad, this has happened to almost every mom I know at some point! Friends of mine in the UK were at A+E last weekend for exactly the same thing!
Did he cry straight away? Usuallu if they are quiet can indicate that they actually knocked their heads and you need to be careful of concussion. Just keep an eye on him xxx

You see we can prepare and they still find a way, accidents happy. We all know that.
