Standard practice is 3 nights for c section and 2 nights for natural birth.

As your doc says two nights will probably be fine and if he is concerned then he can motivate for a further night although you have to be dying to get it.

I am with Discovery and they cover 3nights for csec and only 2 for natural birth.

Hospital (Unitas) policy is also 3 night with a CS. Discussed it with my gynae, he found it strange that MA only willing to pay for 2 nights but if everything is ok, he will discharge me after 2 nights.

I am with Momentum Health, and I think I must check as well!

But, regardless, the Hospital where I am going already said that C-section is 3 nights in hospital and not less.

Crazy love, that's my concern as well. Also gonna have a sterilization afterwards and most people I spoke to suggest I should try to stay an extra day in hospital. We've sort of prepared our son that I will be away for 3 days and he's happy with it. Means more "boys-time", without mommy to lay down the rules

Ag well, if you all coped fine with 2 nights, we'll just wait and see.
