I have one child and pregnant with my second baby.

At a private hospital.

I really had a good experience.

Yes, I do have medical aid.
How much did your gynecologist visits cost?
Around R1000 for each visit.
How did you give birth?
I had a c-section.

It coast R35 000.00
How did you budget for all your (extra) medical expenses?
I had to cut down on all luxeries.
How did you budget for your baby?
We used a lot of second hand things. Shopped at places like Pep for clothes. For our baby shower we did a registry, so we got just what we needed and really wanted.
Did you start budgeting before your were pregnant?
No, not at all.
What advice do you have for other moms regarding budgeting for the babies?
Don't be too proud to accept hand me downs. Splurge on things like a car seat but there's nothing wrong with a good second hand cot, Bumbo seat etc.
