Things are looking better and better! You start feeling great, your baby bump is showing (although the bumpiness will differ from woman to woman). Hey, you even start feeling sexy! Your man is in for a pleasant surprise what with you being all the more active… Make the most of it, after baby comes it will be a while before new mommy will feel sexy and be all active again.
What to expect?
Expect burts of energy! Expect the glow to appear sometime around now. The pregnancy glow. Your hair looks healthier. Sleep can get increasingly uncomfortable, so do invest in a proper pregnancy pillow. The longer and bigger the better. Immerse yourself in that cloud of heaven – you’ll have the best sleep of your life.
Where is baby at?
Your baby is the size of an avocado already! His heart is pumping blood. She has even started growing her tiny toenails already, aaaww! Baby is weighing anything between 80 and 140 g and measures about 13 cm in length.
What should I be doing?
You should start getting your extra room ready for a baby. Have a look online and buy yourself a proper cot and compactum (where you’ll change baby’s diaper thousands of times). It is not gender specific, so not to worry if you couldn’t catch a glimpse of baby’s sex yet. This is the period when nesting starts, a lot of pregnant women actually start spring cleaning their house. Throwing out all unnecessary clutter, filling rooms and souls. Out with the old! So there’s space for the impending new.
Tips to live by
• Go on date nights! Let your partner spoil you as much as possible! A time will come when everything is not about your relationship anymore, but about keeping a tiny human alive and jumping for every whim. Your relationship will unfortunately go down the ladder of importance, as there are other pressing matters to attend to. SO, while it is still just the two of you, spoil one another, build that bond, every day.
• Invest in some maternity clothing, it’ll make your life easier.
• Buy that pregnancy pillow, do not waste another second without it!
