Creche / Day care in Somerset West

Hi there,

I am looking for a day care for my 13 month old one or two times a week.. Any suggestions?

i can definitely recommend someone really good - Amazing Discoveries in Somerset West (near De Hoop Primary). Kelly Arm is the teacher (with a really good assistant Salome), and she has been doing it for about 10 years although the school already exists much longer. She has a small class of about 10 (my son of 3 yrs is there too). There are kids from 2.5 to 4 years old, and they each get the attention they need. Take the time to have a look at it - the playschool has a nice big garden with a huge tree (lots of shade), and they have 2 "classrooms" - one for learning etc, the other to go wild in. The one for learning has a big window facing into the garden so they get plenty of light. when i looked at different daycares/playschools last year, i was horrified how small and dingy most places are.

Hi, I have just put my son in Jolly Tots and am very impressed. I have taken him out of Home from Home and must warn any parents looking at this school as an option. They are not registered and treat the parents and children with such disrespect, please spread the word and keep your children AWAY from this place.

I saw your post and i know that it's quite old by now! Somebody recommended Home from Home and I'd just like to warn you and others of this school, even if its too late for you then maybe it can help other moms. My child is currently there, has been for the past 2 years and I am beyond unhappy. I have phoned 7 schools, however they are all full and we're on about 3 waiting lists for Jan 2012!
I cannot comment on the other schools suggested by other moms but hope that you found a lovely school eventually!
