Everything is a fight ... from the moment she wakes up till she sleeps.

And the new thing ... she wakes up at 04h45... gosh its still dark out and mommy is still sleeping ....

And yeah i carry her all the time cos she refuses to walk ... oh lordie ...

I feel for us mums!!!

Aaah, also there! Same age!

My LG is trying to do things by herself and I can see her frustration and then she just goes mad.

She can play for ages by herself, and then other times she just wants me to pick her up!

Night times is still the hardest for us too.

I think its all normal, and was hoping it gets easier, but am not sure...

Good luck! We are all here to bounce ideas off of, or get any good advise too!

lol, sounds like my little one too. She now has a naughty corner which she hates and if she does act up and we ask her if she wants to go to the naughty corner , the crying automatically stops

Shame she is realising that she isn't a part of you anymore so maybe a little anxiety on her part. I know moms say that you should ignore the behaviour but I have realised that this just teaches the child that they are not allowed to express their emotions and they need to feel safe enought to do so.

It wont be long till your lo becomes independent, but she needs security to do so. Give her the attention she needs now and comfort her is she needs it too. This makes her feel loved and secure allowing her to go off and explore.

I must just add that she needs to know that she can't have everything and here you need to determine what she must not have and stick to it. Even if she throws a tantrum about it just reassure her that you understand that she wants it but it is not a toy. They quickly understnad what they may or may not touch if you stick to it.

But how long does this stage last?
I feel like I'm letting her turn into a little monster by not doing anything about her behaviour.

Chantel, we went through the same stage. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think it's just a stage. I'd say just give her love and attention, because that's actually all she wants.

It's very exhausting, I know.

My little "ANGEL" is driving me crazy.

She's at the stage where she wants everything. If she can't have it, she screams.
I cannot put her down and she screams!!
It's a battle in the mornings to get finished because I have to get dressed etc with her in my arms!!

Over weekends I cant do anything because she wants to be picked up and refuses her Dad to take her from me.

Now the reason I always pick her up is for her not to to cry because the crying really gets to me.

What should I do to start diciplinging her?

Someone told me whenever she starts acting up (which is most of the time) I should put her in her cot and close the door and leave her for about 10 minutes as this will teach her that crying does not always get her what she wants.

Please, any advise will be appreciated.
