Dummy!

Poppie I cannot really figure out why this is a problem?

Maybe because you know what he is talking about he does not yet feel the need to learn that word.
As you say he is already saying so many other words, just give him time to add that one to his vocab. It takes time to learn all the words in a language, maybe some of the others just appeal to him more or there is something in the word dummy he can not yet get his tongue around - it will come in time he is after all not even 2 yet.

My seuntjie is nou 23maande oud, hy word 14 Jan. 2 jaar oud. Hy suig nog dummy. Hy praat al baie mooi en sê al omtrent alle voorwerpe se name. Maar hy sê net glad nie die woord "dummy" nie. Al is dit sy favourite, noem hy dit nie op sy naam nie. Hy noem dit niks nie. Hy sal bv. vir my vra "Waar's hy" of "Daar" of "Daar bo". Ek weet nou al natuurlik dat hy na die dummy vra, maar hy wil nie die dummy op sy naam noem nie. Enigiemand se kinders wat dieselfde doen en weet iemand hoekom dit gebeur?
