potty training help!

thanks. Ok, so would they come in handy for a night nappy once your LO is dry during the day, but not yet at night?

Pull ups are the same as the swimming nappies, but just a tip regarding removing them with a poo. I just tear the sides rather or you are right it is a huge mess!

The school says to use underpants or panties rather and just send a change of clothes.

mmm....maybe the more experienced moms can explain about these pull ups and whether if one uses them.

This is a topic that i also need some help with.
My LG is 25 months now. The potty has been in the bathroom for a while and we have a small toilet seat that fits in the normal toilet.
She does not use the potty but rather the toilet seat.
She has never done a no 1 or no2 in either one of them.
She wears panties but has accident. (I only let her wear a panty for a short time - the rest of the time is nappies.)
Last night she did a no2 on the carpet - much to her horror. the look on her face was priceless.

The school asked me to start packing panties and most days the panties and pants come back in a plastic bag.
I am not sure she quite understands what needs to be done on the toilet. she sits there happily but does nothing.

I am not sure if i should actively start potty training or not, or will it just fall into place......

GW - i have also used the swimming nappies once or twice - but the problem there is when there is a no2 and you pull the nappy down - it goes everywhere.

Wondering if the normal pull ups are different?

It sounds like a good plan to follow her lead.

Should I get those pull-up-pants nappies? What is their use exactly?
Is it so that they can easily pull down the nappy themselves when they want to go?

I recon you should let her be the guide. Encourage and possibly ask now and then but let her take the lead. If she keeps on doing it in the potty, start having her wear panties as the first step to potty training is for them to learn to pull their pants down which is tough to do with a nappy.

We encourage and also give him a star sticker each time he pees in the potty. He sticks it on the potty. If he does a poo he gets a snake sticker etc.

Ladies....

My LO (21 monnths) surprised me tonight by doing the no.1 in her piepie pot!!
I have been telling her a few weeks now about the pot and she plays with it. Tonight she wanted to sit on it before taking a bath.
She sat but nothing happened so I just put her in the bath, but she insisted that I put the potty with her in the bath. I quickly left for 30 seconds, when I returned, there were "yellow fluids" in the potty!!

So what should I do now? I don't want to scare her by coming on to strong about it. She doesn't talk yet (not much), although she does say "piepie" but not necesarrily at the correct time. In other words, I doubt she would understand should I explain to her to call me when she wants to wee. (or would she?)

What is the next step??
