Hi 02JoJo,

I think I'm gonna try Biostrath - how much do I give him? And is it just the normal Biostrath tonic, or is there one specifically for kids?

As far as I know, Gardiasis causes diarrhea, abdominal pain and so on.. if he has any of these try and get him tested again..
Otherwise he may have been sensitive to the Flagyl, maybe the Dr can prescribe something else if he needs to go on medication again.

Maybe you can try some Goldenseal (natural remedy)

He was on Flagyl about 4 weeks ago. The Paed recommended that he be re-tested after 3 weeks and if not gone, to have another go on the Flagyl. Haven't been able to have him tested again - we've moved to Australia and live in a very tiny town with a terrible doctor.

Hi there..
What medicine did the Dr prescribe? Some of these anti-parasite medicine have nasty side effects..

Hi,
Try a good cure of probiotics. If he was antibiotics and had diarrhea it will only do him good and balance his stomach and gut health after everything he's just been through.

Also ask you paed just to test another stool sample to make sure its all gone!!

As for the feeding, I would just give him what he fancies. These kind of things always wreak havoc with our poor lo and quite often it takes a bit of time for them to get back to their usual selves.

I have 2 little girls and we living in Hong Kong.

Hi Charnen

I find Biostrath helps improve an appetite. It is a natural herbal suppliment.

My little one is also on the self feeding stage and what I find works is splitting his meal into 2 bowls. While he is occupied with self feeding I 'shovel' food from the other bowl into his mouth! Almost make a game out of it, he feeds me a spoon and I feed him a spoon.

Good luck but I really recommend Biostrath!
