Hello ladies

I have used the enchantrix range of baby products from my first child.....now 5 years old. All three of my kids were born with eczema and enchantrix has been great.
I have never had to use any medicated products......ever!

The products are reasonable too, I use the baby wash, baby lotion and baby bum balm which is made from beeswax.
The balm is not just for the bum it works very well for any part of the skin. I was the kids with the baby wash then mix the balm with the lotion and apply to the skin.

The products really last and you can by the baby wash in bulk and they have a bubble bath too.

The cost between R52 to about R60 depending where you buy.

All the best with you all

Hi, my son has severe eczema that controls our lives basically, and I have been told to avoid J&J products because they cause the skin to dry out. I am not sure if you get it in SA, but we use Dermax shampoo on my son. It is prescription shampoo, but it works well for the scalp. Also don't use any soap in your LO's bath. We use Balnuem Plus bath oil, it has an anti itch in it, but again we get that on prescription and I don't know if it is available in SA. Otherwise have a look and see if they have any Oliatum, that is what we started with. And don't underestimate the power of Aqueous cream for bathing your LO with, instead of soap.

Beatrice the Dermatologist (specialises in Paeds) we used suggested we avoid Johnson products as he's seen a few customers who reacted badly to it.
we Elizabeth Anne shampoo and Bubble bath, my LG has been fine on them.

I use the epizone range for both my kids. When it gets really bad I use advantan cream on the head and normal baby shampoo.

Beatrice - Bioderma has a good shampoo for eczema - they are stocked at Dischem and at Durbell Pharmacies, not sure where else. Just be sure that you get the one that can be used on babies. I use their face- cream for Emily (Bioderma Atoderm PO Zinc), I use advantan if it gets really bad, but the Bioderma is great for an everyday cream and I have only had to use advantan once in the past 4 months.

I used the shampoo for Emily when she was newborn, but she seems to be doing fine with the Woolies Earth friendly shampoo now, but the bioderma range is great for eczema.
