2 cups of water, ½ cup salt, 1 tablespoon Vaseline, 1 tablespoon alum crystals, 5ml food colouring, 2 cups of flour
Boil everything (except the flour) together until alum crystals and Vaseline have melted. Remove from heat. Add flour. Knead thoroughly while mixture is still warm. Allow to cool and store in an air-tight container when not in use. For variety, I sometimes add glitter or PVC confetti forms.
