You can wash leather, but the water must be cold, no hotter than bath water or you shock the leather. NEVER put it in the tumble dryer.

So I looked at their website:

how do i care for shooshoos footwear?

for the soft sole shoes: you should wash them carefully in cold water with a mild detergent. shape correctly and allow to dry out of direct sunlight. shoes may be a little stiff initially; however the leather will soften with wearing.
for the smiley rubber sole shoes: do not put in a washing machine. only spot clean smileys with a little water and a mild detergent. once finished, leave to dry out of direct sunlight.

can i put shooshoos footwear in the washing machine?

we don’t recommend putting soft soles or smileys in a washing machine. please follow the care instructions outlined in the “looking after little feet” section on the home page.

I'm sure it says on shoo shoos that you can put them in the washing machine, but I tried it, and my daughters shoes, once dry, were ROCK hard. I ended up just used a damp cloth (for leather) and a suede brush.

I have no idea either but would love to know as my son's nanny washed his new shoo shoos in the washing machine yesterday!

Hi ladies

I know there was a post about this, but I can't find it. How do you clean leather shoo shoos or similar leather booties?
