VERY normal! My son did the same. All I did in the end is to tag my mom along to keep an eye on him while he explores. He is now almost 2 years old and decided that to sit in the trolly with mommy or to walk with mommy is much safer. But they do tend to get irretaded if you take to long, due to the stupid ques you have to stand in or due to those people standing in the middle of the floor chatting away while you have to say a thousand times, ' exuse me, exuse me, F%$K*%G exuse ME! Sorry, just had to get it of my chest :P But then I ask my mom to take him to go and ride those car thingies they have at most shops/malls.
Just try to get someone to go with to help keep an eye on her. It eases the tension on you.

Absolutely not naughty! They're just exploring the world :) I think the concept of 'walking on Mommy's hand' only kicks in much later lol. I bought a baby harness for my LG this weekend and will try it out tonight for the first time. It looks strange to walk your baby on a leash but at least she can't get lost and will still be able to explore and run freely (well, sort of) at the same time.

Hi mrsDD!!

Absolutely normal and defnitely not naughty. Your LO is a little explorer at this age. It is the parents role to protect her at this age as she can't reason like an adult yet and know what to avoid and what not.

I try my best to never take my LO to the shops because it is unfair to expect of her to not run to all the wonderful "attractions" and pull it from the shelves. If I do take her, I know that I must be patient and have to keep her under control in a loving way and have distractions handy, like healthy snax in my handbag and other surprises.

Patients is something needed in great amounts with a toddler!

Hi there,

Just wanted to know if this is normal behaviour for a 15m old LG....
she started walking about 2 months ago

this weekend was the third trip with her to a shopping mall after she started walking and she was misbahaving so much! It is getting worse each time we go.
She refused to be carried and refused to hold my hand when she was walking.
She just wanted to run and do her own thing, and DH had to run after her.
Is this normal for a toddler or is my LG just naughty?
any ideas what i should do to make my shopping experience more managable?
