Offer her the option of sitting on the potty in the garden, maybe she prefers the view :D

Keep going with the positive reinforcement when she does use the potty, if she uses the garden or the floor, don't make a big fuss about it, clean it up, get her to help if she will but don't force her and tell her matter of factly that poo/wee belongs in the potty/toilet.

My 2yr old charge likes using the potty outdoors :)

MommyN i had a good laugh about the photo!! I don't really have advice because my boy will be 3 in Oct and is still doing it in his nappy :( I don't know how to get him to poo in the loo. Ethan loves to pee in the garden, don't know why though.

No pets at all!

I am not sure if she understands a reward scheme, but maybe she understands more than I am giving her credit for. As soon as she starts doing something in the toilet, I'll make a big thing about it. At the moment she wants a photo taken each time she sits on the loo!

Potty training is the worst stage for me!

Have you tried rewarding her for when she does it in the potty/toilet? So if she does it there make a HUGE deal about it but when she goes in the garden then say nothing?

Or just keep saying "well done but next time can we try the toilet?"

Do you have pets? maybe she has seen the dog do it outside!

It is hard though because you dont want her to regress!

Ok, so we are trying the potty training thing!
Sarah is 2 years old now and showing signs. She takes her nappy off, she takes her borthers nappy off, she pulls her nappy so that when she is wee'ing it runs down her leg etc etc. She doesnt want to sit on the potty, but does sit ont he toilet, but hasnt done anything yet.

But...

She has started saying she wants to poo in the garden. From the time she gets up, she doesnt want a nappy or panty on so she is running around without anything on most of the time. If she does have a nappy on, its 5 minutes, and not even wet but she wants it off and wants to throw it away.

So now she is poo'ing in the garden. I cant get cross, I dont want to scare her. Is this normal? My husband doesnt like it, but he hates anybody who uses the garden - I agree - we dont have gardeners so we are the ones who work the garden beds and cut the bushes.

She has also poo'ed in the lounge (next to the potty).

She always comes to tell me, so she is defnitely aware of what is going on.

Do I just leave it? DO I let her see me clean it up or not?

Thanks!!!
