file My kids are driving me crazy! Help!

Thanks for the valuable advice. It will probably (hopefully!) get better with time. My son is at an age where I can take him to the movies, get creative by baking cookies and drawing etc, but when you add his little sister in the mix, it's chaos!! She is at that age where everything gets eaten (crayons, playdough, paint, glitter) or smeared across the couch or floor... Vasbyt!!

Hi Frankie,

I'm struggling with the same! My kids can be such angels but in the mornings it's hell to get them ready in time to leave for work. My husband leaves very early for work so that leaves me to do everything on my own. And they will throw tantrums, fight, don't want to wake up, take off their shoes, whine and complain about everything in that time. I really got so frustrated this morning and left the house screaming. I feel like such a bad mom this morning. :-(

My beautiful daugter born on the 23rd of February 2007 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery with epidural. Weighed 3,25kg at birth.

My gorgeous son born on the 23rd of June 2009 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery. Weighed 3,28kg at birth.

Hi Frankie,

My sister has 3 kids (5,3 & 4months) & the older 2 always fight for her attention & also always want to play with the same toy & also fight about the cartoon network programme.I think she's a supper mom cause she knows how to negotiate inequality & play a ref mom while keeping her sanity.

Toys:she always buy 2 similar toys to avoid fighting over 1 toy
TV:she has dual view so when her boy wants to watch bentan on cartoon network the girl get to watch mickey mouse club house on Disney Junior at the bedroom.
Her NO !!is always firm & she is very consistent.
She also use time-out technique especially when they throw tuntrums & fight. She swears by it & thinks taking the kids out of the situation & placing them in a calm & quite environment gives them time to reflect on what they did wrong, take responsibility of it & apologies to the mom & the other sibling.

The truth is toddlers and preschoolers are supposed to be rebellious. Saying no, testing limits & tearing through the house is like their job & believe me they understand very well what they are doing so its important to never think they dont understand their actions.Toodlers comply about 80% of their time so when they do its important to give praise to good behaviour & during the 20% of naughtyness, exercise discipline immediately.Soon they will understand that you are the ruler & that you will not take their bad behaviour.

I have a 2 & 1/2 year old & she also drive me up the walls but I'm already disciplining her so she knows when mommy says NO,she means it & most of the time I ignore her tuntrums & after a while she just gives up & do what I say she should do.

Good Luck,Be Consisten & Stay Calm!!

Hi Frankie
I have no great words of wisdom, but can only offer my sympathy. I take my hat off to mommies with more than one LO. It is said that two children occupy one another and you will never hear or see them, but I don't believe that at all.
Keep strong!!

Hi ladies

My 4 year old son is constantly fighting, screaming, whining, bickering with my 16 month old daughter. They always want to play with the same toy, they both want my attention at the same time and both cry if they don't get it. They are driving my nuts and holidays haven't even started!!

Please tell me how to deal with this?!
