Nozzy firstly I am so sorry you and your angel have been through this. It is very scary for the parents to have their child in surgery. I am so pleased that the operation went well. Children generally handle things far better than us adults and she will be right as rain in no time.

I had a friend at school that had to have several operations because they left it too late. I helped her to the toilet etc when she was in a body cast.

Hugs to you and good luck with the rest of her recovery. xxx

Nozzy I am so sorry that you had to go through all the emotional stress and fear for your little girl. I for one know the stress of having to put them under anaesthetic and its not pleasant. I am so glad your little girl did fine through it all.

Both my little boy's hips are out but unfortunately we will never be able to operate on him to rectify the problem as he pretty much has a zero percent chance of surviving the surgery. From what I understand, even with a "normal" person the surgery is very complex and VERY dangerous. So your little girl has done tremendously well.

Here's wishing you all the best and a very speedy recovery for your precious little girl who no doubt will be running circles around you very soon.

Thank you ladies,

we're already 5 weeks away :)

She's gonna have a another one put on her (cast) after the 6 weeks. but atleast it wont be a full body one. Maybe with the second one she'll have more mobility..

We have a follow-up consultation with Dr Eltringham next week, I will find out about the second cast.
