I feel your pain! I had / have the same issues with Luke - He has been biting for a few months now (kinda have this under control) and he has recently started the hitting thing!

THis very, very, very normal. In my opinion the worst, worst thing you can do is bite your toddler back. All you teach him is that you are stronger therefore you can hit/bite back and it doesn't teach him any skills how to handle problems in a positive way. In fact, I believe it will harm your special bond and relationship of trust.

I know the feeling, my son will be 2 in April, the biting was becoming too much and i was starting to feel like I have terrorist. the only thing that help was my mom suggested that if he bites me i must bite back. i was very reluctatant i must say, i bit him twice and since then when he plays with the other kids. he shouts "no biting neh" . I would say its a tantrum stage you need to first explain that biting is not allowed cause really they never seem to think it hurts. To them we are supermoms that never feel pain, in turn when that gets done to them , they then realize that what they are doing is not right. my approach might be different to other moms but this worked for me!

just want to ask whether anyone experience this.ive noticed shes very cheeky when she not getting her way then she starts throwing herself and bites the one around her.i hve two bitemarks since last week on my arm,cause at night when she cries for her dummy of bottlefeed and if i take to long she grabs my arm or wherever and just want to bite.
she staying at home with the nanny.and the brother 4yrs is at creche shes forever biting and hitting him.
