file What the daycare told me

I normally fetch Kaylee at 2pm because she naps from 11:30 till 1:30 and then they all have lunch together.
I find she eats much better with the other kids than at home.

You're a unique mom. I find I need a couple hours a day to myself, toddlers are exhausting. Maybe it will get easier with time. But sometimes if I'm finished at 11, I'll still only go fetch her at 2 then I can take a nap or clean house or work etc while she's out. At the moment its my sanity saver.

As for the TV watching, if you're fetching her at the same time each day it may be that time of day that the routine is TV? Otherwise you should talk to the daycare about it.

The whole paying for full day is tough on the pocket, but for them if your child wasnt there, they'd get a full time child in her place, so thats how they look at it.
I know it sucks though. I'm not working at the moment but she goes there a few mornings a week while I apply for jobs and go for interviews etc, but I still pay full price to keep her spot open.

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

This year I've decided to do things differently. B goes to daycare 'school' from 7:30 till 11 or 12 at the latest. I did however have 3 days during "financial year end" that I had to work late.

Which means that I serve B her lunch and put her down for a nap when we get home - except if I only got her at 12 then she's already eaten. I pay full day (school doesn't have half day options) so I pay just as much as someone who leaves their child there from 7am till 6pm. The owner of the school came up to me the other day and said I should leave B there until 2pm then I can still work till 11 and do my own thing till 2. Yesterday they said I'm strange for picking her up that early.

REALLY? Is it THAT hard for people to understand that nothing (NOTHING) else is as important to me as my child. Why would I want to work till 11, go home and sit and stare at the TV while my baby is with someone else? And why can't I get my child when I want to get her, frankly I don't want her to go anywhere but I decided to work so I need a few hours in which to do it.

I don't disrupt the flow of her class, usually I'm in and out without the other kids noticing. What bugs the living crap out of me is that usually when I fetch her at 11 they are watching TV. Why am I paying someone to let my child watch TV?

Sorry, vent over. Just wondering why I'm being told that as if taking her out early is somehow bad for her
