Nathan has just turned 2 and they started with potty training at school two weeks ago, they say it is going well at school and he goes with all the other kids to the loo but its a different scenario at home, he seems afraid of the loo and although we started of with him climbing onto the loo, he now screams blue murder and arches his back, as soon as I start taking his pants of he cries for them to be put back on and sometimes cries for his nappie, hsi personality has also changed dramatically, he is whiny and wants me to cary him all the time, he is tempremental and emotional.
The school says that they will have to keep him back if he doesnt home potty train by October but I dont want to force him, it seems as if im making him more afraid and its frustraiting both of us.
Should I tell the school to leave the training for another 6 months until he is more mentally mature, I read that its not unusual for boys to only start at 3 years.
